Shula's Golf Club - Senator Course ~ 0.76 miles (Not Driving Distance)
The 18-hole Senator Course at Don Shula's Golf Club is one of those courses that just seems to get better as you play your way around. The first few holes are fairly open and not overly difficult. However, things start to get more difficult as you get through the middle of the front side. By the time you make it to the 11th green, you'll know that you're in for a real dogfight. The fairways on the back get tight and there's water on just about every hole. All in all, it's a very enjoyable course from start to finish. ... more info.
Doral Golf Resort - Blue Monster ~ 6.63 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Since 1962, Doral's Blue course has been the home of the PGA TOUR event now known as the World Golf Championships-CA Championship. Famous worldwide as the "Blue Monster," the original Dick Wilson design has undergone many changes through the years. The course now stretches to 7,288 yards from the championship tees and features water as a hazard on more than half the holes. Emerald Hills, The Club At ~ 11.75 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Open since 1969, this Devlin/Von Hagge layout received an extensive facelift in the summer of 2000 with many improvements including new TifEagle greens, tees, and bunkers. The ownership continues to improve the course every year, and has since added numerous coquina waste bunkers and native grass plantings to add additional character and challenge to the impeccably maintained layout. Miami Beach Golf Club ~ 13.35 miles (Not Driving Distance)
If you've ever played golf in Miami, you might remember Bayshore, the local municipal course. If so, you'll never believe what now rests on the same property. The City of Miami Beach has done an incredible job transforming the old Bayshore into Miami Beach Golf Club. They brought in Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest and Associates to completely redesign the entire site. Lakes were drained, irrigation systems replaced; they even built a new clubhouse.
